Young visual kei band el-Ethnic Legist- will begin a European tour in early September.
After focusing attention on overseas fans by posting live footage of the band on their official YouTube channel, el-Ethnic Legist has already gained a wide fan base abroad. The band will begin the tour in Strasbourg, France, before playing in five locations across Europe and finishing with an appearance at J-CultureCon in Derby, England.
Rock musician Inaba Koshi, known as the singer of B'z, one of Japan's most successful rock bands, will release a solo album called Hadou on August 18th.
Although it had been six years since he last released any solo work, Inaba returned this June with the single Okay, which ranked first on the Oricon charts. The new album will consist of a total of fifteen songs, including Okay.
The album will be released in regular and limited editions. The regular edition is CD-only and the limited edition will come with a bonus DVD featuring eleven music videos from his former releases.
Mega girl group AKB48 is to release the new single Heavy Rotation on August 18th. The members for the first two tracks of the single have been chosen by fans by filling out voting cards which came with the first press of the single Ponytail to Chouchou, released in May.
The single will come in three different editions: Types A and B and a 'theater' edition. Each version will include the songs Heavy Rotation and Koi no Seesaw Game, while types A and B both will each contain a different bonus song, plus instrumental versions of all three tracks. A DVD will be included with these editions as well, featuring music videos from all the songs, plus more footage. The theater edition of the single is CD-only and will feature the bonus tracks from types A and B, as well as Heavy Rotation and Koi no Seesaw Game.
D'espairsRay have announced the cancellation of the Houston, Dallas and Atlanta shows for this year's US tour.
On their official site they apologized to fans and asked for understanding. D'espairsRay members asked for the fans not to blame the band, since they are as disappointed as the fans and promised to hold an even bigger US tour in the future. More information is avaliable on their official site.
Pop artist Yuya Matsushita will be releasing a new single on August 25th titled Bird/4 Seasons. Both titled tracks are used as theme songs; Bird is the outro theme to the anime series "Kuroshitsuji" and 4 Seasons is the theme for the Kobe Collection 2010 Autumn/Winter, which is a yearly fashion show.
The single will be released in three editions. There will be the usual regular and limited editions, which will contain the same three tracks. The limited edition will contain a DVD with the PV for both songs along with a changeable jacket. As opposed to the limited edition, there will also be a limited pressing, which leans more toward "Kuroshitsuji" fans. Besides the two title tracks, it will also contain a TV version and instrumental versions of Bird. The DVD will include the PV for Bird and footage from the ending of the anime series.
Electro/rock band sakanaction will release their third single, Identity, on August 4th. The single will contain a total of three tracks and the limited edition will come with a DVD featuring five live tracks from their SAKANAQUARIUM "kikUUiki" concert at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST on May 15th.

Pop group AAA will release a new single on August 18th. It will be their 25th in total and fourth release of 2010.
Makenai kokoro, as it will be called, will be available in three different versions. All versions will come with the title track, the song Day by day and instrumental versions of both tracks. The regular CD-only edition will come with an extra track, WOW WAR TONIGHT ~Toki ni wa okoseyo movement~. Limited edition A will come with a DVD featuring the PV for Makenai kokoro. Limited edition B will also come with a DVD, but this time featuring live footage and a making-of of their previous single.
In addition to these three versions, an extra three versions will be released by mu-mo. These versions will contain Makenai kokoro, Day by day and an additional third track called Think about AAA 5th Anniversary, in which the members of AAA discuss their career.
Rock trio doa will release a their sixth full-length album, THIS LIFE on August 11th. The album features a total of thirteen songs, amongst them their March 2010 single Tabidachi no uta.
The title track THIS LIFE will be used as the ending song to the series "Tsuri roman o motomete" from July to September. In the same months, the fourth track Imagine will be used as the ending theme for the TV series "Golf no shinzui".
Johnny's pop band TOKIO will release a new single on August 11th.
NaNaNa (Taiyou nante irune) as the release is called, will be released barely two months after the -Haruka-, which ranked first on the Oricon charts. The title track is produced by Koji Tamaki from Anzenchitai.
The single willbe available in three different editions. The regular CD-only version will come with the title track, two other brand new songs and the instrumental version of NaNaNa (Taiyou nante irune). The first limited edition will come with the title track, its instrumental version and a DVD with the PV and making-of footage. The second limited version will also contain a total of four songs, but will feature a different second and third track.
Female singer BENI, who made her US debut at Anime Expo earlier this month, will release the single Heaven's Door on August 11th. As she mentioned in our interview at Anime Expo, the title track will be a wedding song. BENI has also designed a line of wedding dresses.
Next to the title track the single will contain I like it, a remix of Gimi gimi♥ and an instrumental version of Heaven's Door.
Seileen, a goth-industrial group consisting of counter tenor Selia and DJ SiSeN, will release a new EP called Requiem D-moll on August 11th. Online pre-orders will start from July 28th.
The EP will contain a total of ten tracks: six versions of Requiem D-moll and four versions of the track Mist. The release will be available for purchase overseas through CD Baby and Tainted Reality.
T.M.Revolution, who will be celebrating his fifteenth anniversary since his debut in 2011, will release a new single on August 11th.
The double A-side single is called Naked arms / Sword Summit and both title tracks are used as opening songs; Naked Arms is used for the PS3/Wii game "Sengoku Basara 3" and Sword Summit for the "Sengoku Basara" anime.
The single will be available as a regular edition with the aforementioned two tracks and an English version of Naked arms. Two limited editions will also be available - a game and an animation version - each with different game or anime footage, plus live concert footage.
Visual kei band DaizyStripper will release their first two full-length albums on August 11th. The first is called BIRTH and the second LOVE. Both contain ten tracks in total, with the majority being brand new tracks rather than a collection of their previously released work.
Kamiki Aya will release a new mini-album called Gloriosa on August 11th. It will be her third mini-album, and the first one on the label Avex, which she joined in early 2010.
The mini-album will contain seven tracks, amongst them Revolver which was released as a single on July 14th. The limited edition of the mini-album will come with a DVD featuring the music videos of The Light, Revolver and live footage from her concert at Shibuya Eggman on April 3rd.
Her label is presenting a second limited version, which includes, as well as the CD and DVD, tickets to her AYA KAMIKI LIVE 2010 ~Gloriosa~ concert which will take place on September 10th in Ebisu, Tokyo.
After having their first USA anime convention performance at San Japan in San Antonio, Texas, pop-rock band KESHIKI will attend their second anime convention at SacAnime in Sacramento, California. The convention will take place from September 3rd - 5th, the first weekend of the month.
While SacAnime hasn't listed which day the band will perform, the concert is included with the purchase of a convention pass. More information on how to purchases passes can be found at SacAnime's website.
A number of bands from KISAKI's UNDER CODE label will release new singles in the upcoming months.
First of all is Megaromania, who will release the maxi-single AURORA-destinies of world- on August 4th. Not limiting themselves to just a regular and limited edition, this CD will be available in four different versions. Each has a different cover and bonus track, and the deluxe edition will also come with a DVD. Each CD also includes one out of ten different trading cards.
E'm~grief~ are celebrating their second anniversary on the label with the maxi-single Atonality, which comes out on the 18th of August. The release will be available in two different types, each with a different second track and a bonus DVD containing different PVs and a 'bonus film'.
Also Arc will release a new maxi-single, namely Byou simulation on October 10th. It will contain two brand-new tracks, though further information is currently unknown.
Last but not least are two newer additions to the UNDER CODE label: the colorful Cindykate, who will release the maxi-single boxer on August 25th, and Synside, who will release their first mini-album Yakusokusareta ando, sono daishou, on August 25th. The release will feature five new songs.
Inugami Circus-dan, who debuted in the USA in June, will release a new single on August 4th. The single is entitled DEAD END KIDS and will contain two tracks: the title track and Tenpenchii.
Next to these two tracks, the single will come with a live DVD featuring eight tracks recorded during their performance at Shibuya O-WEST at the end of 2009.
Visual rock duo rice will release two new singles on August 4th. It has only been a few months since the duo released their single Sing You, which ranked first in the Oricon Indie Single Charts.
The first single, Cicada, will come out in two different versions. The regular edition will contain three tracks, and the limited edition will feature the PV of Cicada as well as these three tracks.
The second single, Kirakira, is a one-track release in order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Tower Records shop in Shibuya. Because of this, it will be exclusively available in the Tower Records store and is limited to 1,000 copies.
To promote these releases, rice will be taking the place of the sales clerks in the Tokyo Like an Edison and Brand X stores on August 3rd and 4th.
Zill, bassist for Moran, has passed away on Friday, July 23rd. He was also known as Saburo in the past visual kei indies band, KuRt. The exact circumstances of his passing are unknown, although drummer Soan mentioned in his blog that Zill's health condition had worsened.
Zill's wake and funeral will be held for family. May he rest in peace.
Nearly three months after the release of their previous single reboot~akiramenai uta~/Nagareboshi, rock band flumpool has announced the release of the single Kimi ni todoke for September 22nd.
The title track is used for the movie of the same name. The single will also contain the song Boku no sonzai, a live version of Quville and instrumental versions of both Kimi ni todoke and Boku no sonzai.
The limited edition of the single comes with a DVD featuring a special footage by guitarist Kazuki Sakai. The regular edition comes with a time limited cellphone ringtone download.
Female singer Mika Nakashima will release a new single on August 25th. The single will be called Ichiban kireina watashi o and will be used as the theme song for the drama "Unubore deka". The song is described as a love song featuring piano.
Next to the title track, it will contain a remix of the song by REGGAE DISCO ROCKERS and an instrumental version. The limited edition of the single will also contain a DVD featuring the music video of Ichiban kirena watashi o.
Visual kei band 9GOATS BLACK OUT, who had gone on hiatus in spring, have made another sad announcement. Drummer aki, who had been supporting the band since the start of their activities in 2008, has decided to leave 9GOATS BLACK OUT.
He is thanking all the fans for their support for the past 2 years, and is asking everyone to continue supporting the band from now on. Information about his activities in future will be posted on his blog.
9GOATS BLACK OUT are currently discussing the course of their activities from now on and will announce their decision on their website.

Famous pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto has announced the dates and venues of his tour around the United States and Canada. This tour will commence on October 17 at the Kenswick Theatre in Pennsylvania and end on November 11 at the El Rey in California.
In addition to this, there will be an exclusive North American two-album package release of playing the piano and out of noise. This package will be released September 28 on the Decca Label Group.
