It has been announced by J MUSIC LIVE that Maximum the Hormone will go on a European tour this November. Though few details are currently available, a date in France was mentioned. This tour is sure to be anticipated by fans of the band and of the "Death Note" anime, for which they provided the second opening and ending themes. More information will be posted as it becomes available and is confirmed.

NEWS will release a new live DVD, NEWS Concert Tour Pacific 2007 2008 -The First Tokyo Dome Concert-, on August 13th. It will feature live footage from the group's first ever performance at Tokyo Dome on January 10th in addition to documentary from the rest of the tour and of the NEWS First Concert 2007 in Taipei, which took place in October of last year. The release will be available in a limited and regular edition.

It was announced at Japan Expo, following a video of the band's live at Tokyo Dome in March, and has been confirmed by the X JAPAN Committee, that X JAPAN will go to Europe before the end of the year. Further details will be added as they become available and are confirmed.

MARIA, the six-piece girl band fronted by Maiko of ZONE, will release their new single on September 17th. Though currently untitled, the release is said to feature the girls' first cover and will be available in both CD and CD+DVD format.

The CD+DVD will include three live performance tracks taken from their Spring tour.

HOME MADE KAZOKU has announced that their, currently untitled, new single is scheduled for release on September 3rd and will be released in CD and CD+DVD format.

Hello! Project unit Ongaku Gatas will release their, currently untitled, single on September 10th. Although no further information has been released regarding the single, it can be assumed that, in the trend of their previous releases, the single will be issued in both a limited and regular edition.

Kawaguchi Kyogo's postponed single, Taidama/Kimi aru kore koujitsu/Wasurenai yo, will now go on sale September 3rd. Taidama is currently being used in a commercial advertising "Sendai Bank," while Kimi aru kore koujitsu is being used in a commercial for "Cerezo Court." Lastly, Wasurenai yo is used as the theme song to the TV-TOKYO drama "Sora no Minato de."

BENNIE K will release their latest single on September 3rd. Music Traveler has been dubbed as the "All Collaboration Single," with each song featuring the input of a solo artist or unit.

Music Traveler will be a collaboration with SOFFet, who has recently released a similarly themed single with mihimaru GT. The second track, which is currently untitled, will feature hip-hop artist OHGA. The final track on the single, Product Of Misery, is a cover originally performed by Cyndi Lauper. Yukie, who appeared in SoulJa's remake of the smash hit Soba ni iru ne, will feature in the song.

The CD+DVD version of the single will feature the music video for Music Traveler.

TOSHI with T-EARTH, new band of X JAPAN's TOSHI, will not only be performing live for the first time at the Pusan Rock Festival on August 2nd, but will also be releasing their first album, EARTH SPIRIT, on August 8th.

In addition, is have been confirmed that LEVIN (THE HUSKY, ex-La'cryma Christi) will act as drummer for the Nagoya, Sendai and Sapporo gigs, with Shinya (LUNA SEA) drumming at the Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo lives. A bassist has yet to be selected, but TOSHI stated that the band's style is based on hard rock but also includes elements of funk and rap to form a completely new style.

LM.C's First Live DVD and European Tour

LM.C's first live DVD will be out on September 17th. Rock the Party 08' will feature the group's July 18th performance at C.C. Lemon Hall.

In addition, LM.C will go on their first European tour early next year. Currently only two dates have been announced:

January 31st - Rock Store - Montpellier, France
February 1st - La Locomotive - Paris, France

On June 22nd, Maakii of HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR and Nakamura Masato of DREAMS COME TRUE registered their marriage. Via HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR's official blog on July 2nd, Maakii posted an entry confirming news of the marriage registration and that, following the end of the year, she would be parting ways with the group.

Maakii has expressed her gratitude to the other members of HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, staff and fans for their support and has stressed that she will continue to dedicate herself to HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR until her departure later this year.

Eurobeat unit PLASTIC LOVE will release their latest single, UPSIDE DOWN, the title of which is a cover of Coo Coo's song of the same name, on August 6th. Coo Coo is an Italian pop group consisting of Max Coo and Steve Coo. They originally released the hit, which is featured in the "Dance Dance Revolution" video game series, in 1988 on the Eurodance label Flea Records, and were popular in Europe and Japan in the 80's when the italo-dance genre of music was popular. The single will be released in both CD and CD+DVD format and will feature the title track plus DILEMMA and TRUE TRUE LOVE. It will also include an extended mix of each of the three tracks. The CD+DVD version of the release will feature the music video for UPSIDE DOWN.

Metronome is set to release their tentatively titled BEST COLLECTION 2005→1998→2008 Vol. 1 on September 3rd. The album is being released in celebration of their 10th anniversary and will feature eighteen tracks spanning the length of their career. Aside from the three tracks taken from their latest original album, HIGH TO LOW ELECTRO, all the songs featured on the album have been re-recorded with Metronome's current line-up.

SOFFet has announced the release of SOFFet BEST ALBUM -ALL SINGLES COLLECTION- for August 20th. The album is set to feature all fourteen of their singles, with the first press of both versions featuring the bonus track Aozora no shita de.

The CD+DVD version of the album will contain the music videos for all fourteen tracks featured on the album, which will include their latest release, Suki natsu with mihimaru GT.

Despite the announcement of their disbandment on June 2nd, SHONEN KAMIKAZE will release two albums on August 20th.

Their final studio album, NO, is set to feature the previously released Hello.Sweet -hi no ataru sakamichi-, plus new material for an estimated thirteen tracks total, while BEST will feature all ten singles taken from their major career plus more.

Aikawa Nanase will return to the music scene with the temporary unit Crimson-FANG, which will release Circle of Life on August 6th. The track will be used as the theme song for the upcoming movie "Kamen Rider Kiva: Makaijo no ou." Due to the movie's storyline focusing on both the past and the present, the song will be released in a "1986 version" and a "2008 version."

Despite no solid announcements being made about the line-up of Crimson-FANG, Aikawa is said to be working alongside a foreign musician. Perhaps most excitingly for her fans however, is the news that Aikawa plans to release her upcoming album later this year.
