Raphael, have revealed new details of their upcoming April single.
It was previously announced that
rice had set the release of a new single titled
Lovers for March 10th, which would serve as the first part of a two-month release campaign. For more details about

here.
On April 14th, the duo will release
Sing you, the second part of the release campaign. Featuring the title track and the b-side
Suna to kaze, the single will be released in the same formats as
Lovers, with two editions each featuring a different third track.
The limited edition of the single will come with a DVD featuring the PV of
Sing you, as well as including an acoustic version of the song
STAY as its additional track. The regular edition, on the other hand, will come with
Hoshi ni negai wo instead.

Pop singer and songwriter KOKIA has announced the release of a new album, titled REAL WORLD, for March 31st.
For this album, KOKIA visited the Tunisian Sahara, where she held the photoshoot session for the CD jacket. The location was chosen to showcase the true concept of the album, based on rawness, death, and the grand power of nature.
A short, four-city tour will take place in April, shortly after the album release. It will start in Fukuoka on the 10th, taking KOKIA to Osaka and Nagoya before wrapping up in Tokyo, at Shibuya Bunkamura Orchard Hall, on the 30th.

Etsuko, drummer of female punk-rock trio Shonen Knife, has announced that she will stop her activities after their concert in Osaka on March 20th.
According to a message posted on the group's official website, Etsuko says that she decided to step back from the group to deal with personal problems and to not interfere with their activities. Once she has dealt with her issues, she plans to return to the band.
Shonen Knife will start a short tour to promote their January album Free Time on March 13th. The final performance of the tour - and also last concert with Etsuko before her activity pause - will be held at Juuzou FANDANGO, in Osaka, on March 20th.

Acclaimed rock band the band apart is returning with a new CD, the Surface ep, after almost two years without any official releases.
the band apart's last release was the album Adze of penguin, which was well received and came out in May 2008. For this new release, the band is expected to return with a renewed boost of their trademark live energy and groove.
the Surface ep, a 5-track EP, has been given the release date of March 17th. To promote the CD, the band has booked a new nationwide tour, titled SMOOTH LIKE BUTTER TOUR Spring 2010, to start in April in Hiroshima and end with a concert at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, in Tokyo, on May 27th.

Young singer and songwriter Maria has set the release of her first album, called WILL, for February 24th.
Maria debuted with the single Getaway in May last year, in which she was able to show her songwriting skills and powerful vocals. She has already released four singles, the newest one being Wasuretakunakute, which came out on January 27th.
WILL will feature a total of twelve songs, including both Getaway and Wasuretakunakute and her other two singles, D.I.T. and Goin' My Way. The limited edition of the album will come with a DVD featuring the music videos of the four singles and also the making-of for the CD version of D.I.T..

Visual kei band Versailles have announced a world tour for June and July this year.
So far, the band has booked five dates in Southern America for Sao Paulo, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Lima and Mexico City, starting from June 4th. The venues, however, are still to be announced. Versailles have also announced that they will be touring Europe from late June to mid-July, though these dates are yet to be confirmed.

Utada Hikaru has announced that a new UK date has been added to her upcoming tour.
Her previously-announced UK date for February 12th not only sold out, but actually over-sold, leaving some fans who haid paid without a ticket. While this money was refunded, a new date has been added for February 11th to give an extra chance to those who missed out.
The new show will also take place at the O2 Academy in Islington and tickets can be purchased

Rock band abingdon boys school have planned the release of a new DVD that includes a documentary of their European and a music video collection for March 17th.
a.b.s. embarked on their first European tour last year, in which they performed in nine big cities from six countries including Germany, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Finland and France. General scenes from the tour were once released in the music video of their latest single, From Dusk Till Dawn, which came out in December.
ABINGDON ROAD MOVIES, as the two-disc set DVD has been called, will feature a road movie of this same tour, including a documentary and possible footage from the concerts, all in one disc. The second disc, on the other hand, will include all the band's music videos, from their debut single INNOCENT SORROW to the latest one, From Dusk Till Dawn, plus off-shot scenes from the shooting of seven of the PVs.
abingdon boys school have just released their second full-length album, ABINGDON ROAD, on January 27th, peaking at the second position in the Oricon weekly charts. The band is also currently on tour, which had an additional concert at Chiba's Makuhari Messe added to the schedule for March 20th.

Up-and-coming visual kei band THE KIDDIE is releasing a single collection album, simply called SINGLE COLLECTION, on March 24th.
THE KIDDIE have recently signed a major contract with the VAP label, in which they released their latest three singles - soar, BLACK SIDE and Poplar - in a three-month consecutive release campaign throughout the last months of 2009.
For the single collection, the band re-recorded all songs from their first three singles (Little SENOBI, Plastic Art and Sayonara Setsuna under the new label. Two brand-new songs, TORA/UMA and HANA, have also been selected to be part of the 11-track album.
Shortly prior to the CD release, the band is embarking on their first one-man tour, which has been named Hi-FiVE. Consisting of five concerts in major Japan cities, the tour already has three dates with tickets sold out (Fukuoka, Sendai and Nagoya). The last concert will be held at Tokyo's LIQUIDROOM ebisu on March 31st.

Visual rock band D'espairsRay have announced their first release of 2010: the single LOVE IS DEAD, which is scheduled to be released on April 14th.
D'espairsRay celebrated their tenth anniversary last year with lots of news for the fans, including their major debut with Delicious Deli Records, leading to the release of the album REDEEMER, and a special participation in the big V-ROCK FESTIVAL.
Also in 2009, the band held a commemorative concert at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall to celebrate this same occasion, which was later released as the live DVD 10th Anniversary Live Closer to ideal -Brand new scene-. The band finished the year with a concert at YOKOHAMA BLITZ in December.
Even though the title and release date have already been revealed, further information regarding the single is currently unknown. However, in April, the band is also performing two new one-man concerts, both to take place at SHIBUYA O-EAST on the 23rd and 24th.

Popular idol group Arashi have unveiled details of their upcoming single Troublemaker, which is scheduled for release on March 3rd.
The title track will be used as the theme song for the TBS comedy drama "Tokujo Kabachi!!" which is currently airing in Japan and features Arashi member Sakurai Sho in its cast. The b-side Yurase, ima wo will be used as theme song for Nippon TV's "Vancouver 2010" which will broadcast footage from the "2010 Winter Olympics" held in Canada and as the winter theme for "Zoom in!! SUPER" and "Zoom in!! Saturday".
The regular edition of the single will also feature the track Mou ippo and instrumental counterparts for the aforementioned songs. The limited edition will include the music video for Troublemaker.

Popular rock singer Superfly has planned the release of a new live DVD, Dancing at Budokan!!, for April 28th.
Dancing at Budokan!! is a two-disc set featuring footage from Superfly's performance held at Nippon Budokan on December 14th as its main content. Twenty songs from the live were recorded to be included on the first disc of the release.
As for the second disc, it will include an interview with the singer, in which she talks about all thirteen tracks from her newest album, Box Emotions, released in December last year. Six songs from her free concert at Roppongi Hills Arena, as well as two songs from her performance in the festival Woodstock 40th Anniversary Festival will also be included.
Woodstock 40th Anniversary Festival is a traditional event which features performances from the biggest music acts from around the globe. Replacing legendary singer Janis Joplin, Superfly performed in last year's edition, which took place in New York, along with American rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company.
The DVD will be available in two editions, as well as the Blu-ray format of the release. As an extra, the limited version will also come with two additional CDs featuring audio recordings from the same Budokan concert.

Pop and folk duo Kobukuro have prepared their November Nippon Budokan live to be released on both DVD and Blu-ray on April 21st under the title KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR '09 "CALLING" FINAL .
Kobukuro released their newest album, CALLING, in August 2009, later embarking on a long nationwide tour to promote the CD. This tour, called KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR '09 "CALLING", mobilized approximately 270,000 people within its 34 four concerts.
On November 28th, the group performed the final concert of the tour, which took place at Nippon Budokan. Nineteen songs from the live, including the encore songs Koko ni shika sakanai hana and Toki no ashioto, have been selected for the DVD.
Additionally, on the same day, the duo is putting out Blu-ray editions of two of their other live DVDs: KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR '06 "Way Back to Tomorrow" FINAL, originally released in 2007 and KOBUKURO LIVE TOUR '08 "5296" FINAL originally released in 2008.

Six-member ska group YOUR SONG IS GOOD are beginning the celebration of their twelfth anniversary with the release of a new album for March 3rd.
It has been over a year since the release of THE ACTION, YSIG's latest album. The new album will be titled B.A.N.D. and will contain thirteen tracks.
B.A.N.D. was recorded in the same analog format as YSIG's first and self-titled album. This new record is expected to show the group's sound and evolution achieved over the last twelve years.
To promote the new album, the band is set to embark on a new nationwide tour in April. Spanning fifteen dates throughout two whole months, the tour will wrap up with a concert at the open-air hall Hibiya Yagaidai Ongakudou on June 5th.

Up-and-coming young pop singer Kana Nishino has announced the release of a new single, titled Best Friend, for February 24th.
Best Friend is set to mark the continuation of Kana's collaboration with mobile phone manufacturer DOCOMO, as it will be used as the official theme song of the product line "Ganbare Jukensei '09-'10".
Kana has already provided one song for DOCOMO's commercial, as the company also used Dear..., one of the title songs from her latest hit single Dear... / MAYBE, released in December last year.
Following the single release, the singer is embarking on her third nationwide tour in March, sponsored by DOCOMO. Named Kanayan Tour 2010 ~Spring~, the tour will span ten dates in five cities. However, as all the concerts have already been sold out, an additional concert at SHIBUYA-AX, in Tokyo, was booked for April 29th.

Veteran heavy rock band Kinniku Shoujotai, also known as KING-SHOW, have a new live DVD in the works to be released on April 21st.
Doko e demo ikiru kitte Shoki album 1st~8th Kyoku gentei Live SP, as the DVD is called, will feature scenes from KING-SHOW's concert which took place at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall on November 8th. This concert was held to celebrate the re-issues of eight old albums and mini-albums, released throughout July and September last year.
Additionally, two months prior to the release, scenes from the same concert of the DVD are expected to air as a special ninety minute program. The special will be broadcast by the channel Fuji TV NEXT from 19:00 to 20:30 on February 20th.

Female rocker trio TsuShiMaMiRe have set the release of their second single, the love song Strobo, for April 14th.
Strobo is the trio's first CD release since their major debut single Time Lag, which came out about a year ago with the price of only 300 yen. To compliment the release, a DVD with live footage and off-shot scenes has been manufactured to be a part of the limited edition.
Prior to the release, the group is having a new one-man concert, where fans expect them to play or announce new songs from the single. Titled Hanamamire ~shinkyoku ohirome one-man~, the live will take place at Shibuya club asia on March 12th.

SOL, main vocalist of five-member Korean idol group
BIGBANG.

Kaeru basho, the singer will join forces one more time with songwriter and rapper
SoulJa, who has composed and written this new song. Both artists have already collaborated before in the song
Soba ni iru ne, considered as
Thelma's breakthrough hit.
Described as a ballad,
Kaeru basho will be accompanied by the b-side
Anata ga kiechai sou de and both tracks' instrumental counterparts. As for the movie, which has been given March 6th as its release date, it is the commemorative work for the 30th anniversary of the "Doraemon" series.

Up-and-coming rock trio tacica have announced the release of their long-awaited new e.p. single, titled Kamisama no isu e.p., for April 7th.
tacica debuted as a major band in May of last year, releasing their first album, jacaranda, through their new home SME Records. This e.p. will be their first release in almost a year. The band busied themselves over this silent period with several live performances, including a promotional event tour that spanned over 50 dates.
Kamisama no isu e.p., different from the group's other e.p. releases, will feature four songs: the title track Kamisama no isu, Alligator, Semel Pulse and Baka.
A short, five-date tour to promote the release of the e.p. has also been booked by the band. They will perform all the concerts in May, with performances in Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Tokyo, with the final taking place at Akasaka BLITZ on the 16th.

Visual kei rock band D have been given the opportunity to have one of their songs used as the tie-in of a nationally broadcast drama.
The drama in question is "Shinsengumi PEACEMAKER", broadcast by TBS/MBS, which has D's newest song Kaze ga mekuru peeji as its opening theme. The drama, based on the original manga "PEACEMAKE Kurogane" created by Chrono Nanae, airs every Friday at 00:24 on MBS and on Wednesdays at 00:34 on TBS.
Kaze ga mekuru peeji has also been selected to be D's sixth major single. It will eb released on March 10th in both CD and CD+DVD editions.
Also in March, the band is set to release their second (and fifth overall) major album. Titled 7th Rose, the album will hit stores on the 24th, also in both CD and CD+DVD editions, with the DVD will including the music video of the title song. D's latest singles, Tightrope, Day by Day, and also Kaze ga mekuru peeji are all expected to be a part of the CD.

Former RENTRER EN SOI vocalist and now solo visual kei artist Satsuki is releasing his third single, called MOON SPIRAL, on February 14th.
MOON SPIRAL, the "third story" of his solo works, as described by the singer himself, is the successor of CRYSTAL, released in August last year. Four songs have been selected for this new single: the conceptual title track, the piano ballad YOU, PRAY OF THE SUN and CROSS OF YELLOW.
Satsuki has also booked appearances in a few events, such as in an event organized by fellow visual rock band born, as well as having planned his fifth one-man solo concert, which is set to take place at Takadanobaba AREA on August 22nd.

Oyuugi Wagamama Dan×【PaRADEiS】 have announced the release of their first album, titled Col・Tempo for April 28th.
This will be the first full-length album for PaRADEiS and will be available in both regular and limited edition. The regular edition will contain ten songs, while the limited edition will come with a DVD featuring the making of Col・Tempo. The release will be followed by a one-man tour which will take the band to Sendai, Nagoya and Tokyo, before ending in their home town of Osaka.
Prior to the album this fairly new visual kei band has already released five singles, a mini-album called the other side of paradeis and a DVD featuring their first anniversary live held in June last year.

KISAKI, a popular name within the indie visual kei scene, has made an important announcement via UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's official website.
In his message, the musician revealed that Phantasmagoria's revival is a temporary comeback which will wrap up on April 15th. This is the date the band will perform a special sixty-minute concert at Osaka BIG CAT titled Diamond Dust in Truth~arata na yakusoku~.
Phantasmagoria, who disbanded officially in August 2008, returned on New Year's Eve to take part in UNDER CODE's countdown event at Tokyo Kinema Club. Additionally, the group revealed that two new items would be released on March 10th: the single Diamond Dust and the mini-album Seeds of Brain.
As the final part of the announcement, KISAKI revealed that following Phantasmagoria's performance in April, he will return to the scene with a new band this year, aiming to debut right in the summer. He states that he still intends to convey his feelings musically, which is the reason for his return, and hopes fans can keep supporting him and his musical activities in the future.
